Waterton Lakes National Park, Alberta -Experience a 2-night stay                          (Glacier National Park of the North) features clear lakes, thundering waterfalls, rainbow-colored streams, vibrant rocks, and breathtaking mountain vistas.

From Wilderness to Waterton Town: Nestled on the shores of Upper Waterton Lake, the village is a place where nature, history and people come together in a profoundly beautiful way. The community may be small, but it’s the beating heart of the national park. The streets that stretch up from the lakeshore offer cozy cafés, quaint shops and ever-present inspiration from the surrounding mountains. You will visit the Iconic Prince of Wales Resort, the green lawns that surround the hotel stretchs into magnificent panoramas of the lakes and the mountain peaks that rise from them.

You will embark on a scenic lake cruise to discover the magic of Waterton Lakes National Park. Glide across the pristine waters, surrounded by majestic mountains and lush forests. Learn about the park's rich history and ecology from knowledgeable guides as you soak up the breathtaking scenery. Keep an eye out for wildlife, including bears, moose, and bald eagles, as you relax and enjoy the tranquility of the lake. This unforgettable experience offers a unique perspective of the park's natural beauty. Cruise travels to the international border where passengers will see a cutline running through the forest, up the sides of the mountains indicating the 49th parallel and the Canada/USA International Border. Scenic stops are plenty and an entertaining commentary is also provided by the local guides. This cruise goes about halfway down the lake to the international border and the                                    trip is non-landing,  No passports are required

Leaving Watertown we travel through Fernie on our way to Invermere a laid-back mountain town in the heart of the Columbia Valley, for a 1-stay on our way to Banff, Invermere, derived from the Gaelic phrase meaning “at the mouth of the lake,” it is a charming lakeside community rich in culture, history, and mountain spirit. Your evening free to stroll through trendy boutiques, galleries, gift and specialty shops, and enjoy a range of cafés, pubs, bakeries, and fine restaurants. Culinary highlights include local favorites like Arrowhead Brewery.

Arriving in Banff for a 4night stay. This will be our home base, each day we tour a host of amazing locations.

Banff National Park is more than stunning turquoise lakes and breathtaking mountain vistas, It is: A UNESCO World Heritage Site.

 1. Columbia Icefield Adventure: This tour includes a ride on the  Ice Explorer, a massive vehicle designed to traverse the glacier, allowing  you to step onto the ancient ice of the Athabasca Glacier.

   

 2. Your tour also features the Glacier Skywalk: step Beyond the Valley’s Edge   a glass-floored walkway that offers stunning views of the Sunwapta Valley  and surrounding mountains.  Capture a feeling of absolute wonder at the edge of the Sunwapta Valley. Features fossils, waterfall views and incredible glacier landscapes along a one-kilometer interpretive walkway, situated near routes frequented by mountain goats and other wildlife. The journey is memorable, but your destination is unforgettable — a suspended platform where glass is all that separates you from rugged and wild terrain 918-foot (280 m) below.

     

3. Tour the stunning Emerald Lake  in Yoho National Park:  It’s pretty easy to figure out where Emerald Lake gets its name as the glacial waters refract light in a vibrant display of color. The color alone would be enough to move you, but the surrounding landscape leaves you speechless. The President Range mountains surround the lake, forming a natural amphitheater of the grandest scale with towering peaks and forested banks. It’s easy to see why it’s our personal favorite lake in the Canadian Rockies!  Visited 8 times  over the years   

 4.Visit Natural Bridge Yoho National Park, B.C.: offers  a stunning rock formation carved by the Kicking Horse River, amazing picture opts.

5. Tour Lake Louise, with its glacier and the iconic Chateau, is famous for its striking turquoise waters and glacier-topped peaks, making it a must-see spot in the Canadian Rockies. The lake’s vivid blue-green color comes from glacial rock flour suspended in the water, which reflects sunlight to create its unique hue. Framed by the stunning Victoria Glacier on Mountain Paradise, the scenery offers a breathtaking backdrop.

6. Lake Minnewanka Boat Cruise: part of Banff National Park. Admire views of the Canadian Rockies and prairies as you cruise across the turquoise-hued lake and over to Devil’s Gap during this boat tour.

 

7. The Banff Sulphur Mountain Gondola: you will be whisked above the treetops! In just eight minutes, you'll ascend 700 meters up a steep mountainside to the summit of Sulphur Mountain. From there, enjoy breathtaking mountain views.   

Leaving Banff we head to the beautiful Jasper National Park for a 2-night stay 

which will includes:  

Visit to  Athabasca Falls, one of the most stunning waterfalls on the Icefields Parkway. 

Experience The Jasper Sky tram which takes you soaring above the park’s  with views of wildlife as you gently ascend to the upper station at 7,425 feet . It’s the longest and highest guided aerial tramway in Canada.

Experience the breathtaking beauty of Spirit Island with a boat tour on Maligne Lake, where you’ll be treated to stunning views of the Canadian Rockies and the chance to explore one of Canada’s most iconic spots. Accessible only by boat from Maligne Lake, Spirit Island welcomes visitors to disembark and enjoy a short nature trail leading to a viewing platform that overlooks one of the most spectacular scenes imaginable.

Your journey kicks off with a 1-night stay in Swift Current before heading to Watertown.

From Jasper, you’ll enjoy a 1-night stay in Edmonton and another in Saskatoon before returning to Winnipeg on October 5th, filled with unforgettable memories and a deep appreciation for our breathtaking National Parks—from turquoise waters and majestic Rocky Mountains to cascading waterfalls and vibrant fall colors, plus the chance for exciting wildlife sightings.
