In Boston we all enjoyed a fabulous evening of Candle Stick Bowling, but again with a twist each team choose a name and a theme and off to Walmart we went to buy the paraphernalia to dress in theme, I cannot put into words the laughter we enjoyed that whole evening. In Louisiana we did the first ever Swamp Tour, some had reservation others were excited and anxious to do this 1st. Thus began a Peabody tradition which was to become internationally famous. In 1940, Bellman Edward Pembroke, a former circus animal trainer, offered to help with delivering the ducks to the fountain each day and taught them the now-famous Peabody Duck March. He became Peabody Duckmaster, serving in that capacity for 50 years until his retirement in 1991.
